Who Writes This Stuff?
Meet Bonnie
Born in 1970 Bonnie became a pop culture maven when she became addicted to TV watching Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley and Three's Company. By the 1980's Duran Duran, Talking Heads and Cyndi Lauper were spinning on her turntable while she sported a black trench coat and suede ankle boots. Today Bonnie appreciates everything retro and she'll probably kick your butt in Harry Potter trivia. PS - Yes that is a Gunny Sack dress she's wearing, circa 1985. Meet Robin
Robin loves everything vintage and having lived through the last five decades, she's seen, listened to, driven, and worn (almost) all of the coolest classics up close, personal, and first-hand. Her very favorite decade was... is... the 1980's with it's big hair, bold makeup, and New Wave alternative music but as soon as they make time travel a thing, she plans to visit the Roaring Twenties. She believes in the power of positivity and that work should be fun. The photo is of Robin celebrating something back in 1988, like, sitting pretty on a gnarly Colonial-style couch with bitchin' Banana-clipped hair. For sure. |
About Retro Invites
Retro Invites happened when two vintage-loving co-workers became friends and then decided to share their passion for retro with the world.
Many of the items sold here are brought to you via an affiliation with Zazzle.com. Zazzle is a world-leader when it comes to high-quality, affordable, custom and personalized products. Each of their invitation designs is created by a talented artist, graphic designer or photographer who keeps shop at the site. These are real artisans who care deeply about their designs and who work hard to make sure you have the most unique choices available. The invites are easy to personalize with all of your party information and come with a white envelope AND most importantly a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Before becoming affiliated with the site, both Bonnie and Robin were customers at Zazzle and can attest to their excellent products and customer service. |

About Our Invitations
All of Zazzle's printed invitations come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a standard white envelope that's suitable for mailing.
They are easy to personalize and customize on your choice of quality card stock and are created using full-color, full-bleed printing, many with images on both sides.
Generous discounts are offered for bulk purchases starting with orders of as few as 25 or more. Personalization is always free.
Zazzle's Digital Instant Downloads can be personalized, downloaded, and shared in minutes. You get unlimited downloads and they are available in PNG, JPG, Standard or Print PDF format
Individual pricing is determined by the card designer and your chosen size and shape, (prices for each invite will vary) along with your choice of card stock as mentioned above.
These are not actual antique invitations. They are brand new modern reproductions made to look retro.
All design embellishments such as those that appear to be fabric or feature ribbons and burlap as well as things that look like glitter and gem stones are created using photographic images and are completely flat. There is nothing to prevent you from mailing any of them. They just look like their more expensive counterparts.
FAQs
So, where do my invites come from?
Your invitations will be printed and shipped to you directly from Zazzle which is located in California, USA.
When will my printed invitations arrive?
Zazzle generally prints your invites in about 24 hours and they offer several different shipping options to suit your needs.
What type of card stock do they use? I don't want flimsy invitations.
You can choose from 20 different paper types and colors. Their most popular and lowest priced option is their Basic paper which weighs in at 110lb and has a smooth semi-gloss finish. It's far from flimsy and unless you are looking at something extra special for a wedding, Basic would be the best and most affordable way to go.
